Yes, everything else including hot-plug is working.
Now I just need to figure out how many Hackintosh can make the coffee.
Mark this solved,
Thanks for all you guys do!
Yes correct, with the flashed firmware you get more cosmetic info and the ability to do thunderbolt bridge which I will never use.
The stock firmware lets the machine post instantly. Much better for me especially when tweaking with EFI settings from time to time and not have to wait extra time...
Sorry just getting back now.
I flashed back the original Firmware and I get INSTANT boot. Thunderbolt is working perfect other than missing the info under system information.
It is an issue with the custom firmware that is causing the delay in boot.
Does anyone have any idea how to edit the...
All done,
No joy. even if I remove all drives and NVME drives It takes the same time to boot but only when I disable thunderbolt its an almost instant post.
Tried cleaning CMOS multiple times and also resetting NVRAM multiple times too - No Joy.
I am non the latest bios "F21"and it will not...
Ok,
All changes made. I cannot get the DTGP removed from GPU without getting errors? Maybe you could help me with this? The Gpu is natively supported so I don't actually have to use that SSDT.
I am also on the latest bios version too. The fact is when I remove everything and even clear the...
Sorry, not sure how I missed uploading my EFI.
I updated IO reg to 2.1 and attached below too.
This could be specific to this particular motherboard I guess as I seen a few people comment on a thread with Casey J's build with this z490 Vision D.
Just frustrating when tweaking some stuff and...
What else do you need?
Here is an IO reg file too.
Yes I have dual boot. I really think this has something to do with the flashed firmware. I seen on Casey J thread on Tony Mac that a lot of people were having this issue too but once you turn off thunderbolt in the bios it boots super fast...
Which firmware?
Gigabyte-Vision-D-NVM-50-Elias64Fr-CaseySJ.bin
What TB Hardware?
On board TB/USB -C (Onboard Titan ridge)
During boot, is there any TB Device connected?
Yes, I have tried with device both plugged in and out and also with device plugged in and powered on and off - all test's...
hi guys,
I notice if I disable thunderbolt in bios my machine boots in 9 secs in total. If I have thunderbolt enabled with the custom flashed firmware it takes about 20 secs before I see the onscreen bios splash screen.
If I flash it back to the original firmware will it speed up this...
Awesome! Great to hear! I do notice when my hack goes to sleep it takes a considerable longer time for bluetooth to come back to life. Not sure if its a monetary bug as there is a few threads talking about this so will hold off until the next update which is coming soon
Hey guys,
I have tried this and can confirm it is working 100%. I have all network features and also 2 x 16GB of ram installed. All thunderbolt interfaces working perfect.
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/gigabyte-z490-vision-d-thunderbolt-3-i5-10400-amd-rx-580.298642/page-659#post-2262127...
Sorry, thunderbolt interface limitation is what I meant.
Love if I could use both my ram sticks and also use my native WiFi card to have airdrop and continuity without having to worry about it disabling network features due to the ‘Disable IO Mapper’ quirk.
If I could help in anyway let me...
Okay. I got it! Sorry for my late reply. Spent the day with my friend who is quite more experienced than me at these builds.
We tried various different methods and configs but finally tried a clean OS and straight away it started to work. Could heard the fans ramping up when the turbo boost...
I tired the above.
Also no success.
the system boots and has the attached details now in about this Mac. I am still capped at 3.7GHZ
Delete the system config files was a good shout. Really thought that would of fixed it but no luck unfortuentyl.
Id like to put it down to hardware but the...
Okay tried that. Still the same issue. Have tried
-copied the above text and pasted. Same effect
-tried new serials and SMBIOS with GENSMBIOS-Master, Opencore configuration and also copied and pasted details across from Clover
Still no effect. The core max frequency is capped at 3.7GHZ
I...
Yes correct, when I use the config with custom smbios no serial is displayed in about this mac and iservices fail to work.
I do however get the full speed of 5.2GHZ with my processor.
Have you ever heard of this issue before?
I am using GenSMBIOS-master.
I have tries a few and can get the Smbios name to change in "about this Mac" but still states at 3.7GHZ.
I have attached the config that gets the full 5.2ghz but with this I cannot get a serial to work.
Just says "default string"
Is there any workaround for this?
