Okay, you're more qualified than I am, so I did what you just said.
- removed all the options in Device Properties ;
- added -igfxvesa to “boot args” ;
- installed Big Sur 11.7.10;
All went well:
- audio works;
- integrated microphone too;
- the built-in screen (HQP) displays the desktop;
-...
I re-installed Monterey and used “igfxvesa” as you said.
On the desktop, the HQP screen only displays 1280x1024.
Then I patched with OCLP.
With “igfxvesa”, there's no graphics acceleration and the HQP works, but no bigger than 1280x1024.
And Hackintool says: “monitor unknown”.
I'm back...
I understand, but...there is no harm to keep uneeded entries in config.plist, as long they're disabled, OC will ignore them.
=> AAPL, device 0x2 will work.
=> ##AAPL, device 0x2 won't do anything.
But ok, I'll take a chance with removing all entries in DP as you suggested, thanks.
I'll forget...
Ok, I spent another 2 hours in it, and I found a new issue :(
This is the last EFI I made. Ofc, as I'm a real n00b, there are lots of "checked items", just wanna disable them (temporarily or not).
I just noticed this :
- if I'm not overriding HQP's EDID, there's only the Acer showed in...
These above are Monterey ones, But guess what ? Yesterday evening, I got the system destroyed. Over beyond recovery. Doesn't matter, I don't care. LoL.
So, I removed the crashed HDD and replaced it with a SSD. And started the whole installation mess again (should be the 7th, not counting Big...
You think "oh no you're dumb, everything's working here" !
Ehehehe...the desktop is currently displayed onto the BENQ, so the snapshot.
In the same time, the HPQ is black ^^
I'll try. XD
So, as I said, the AIO is typically kinda a laptop, whole inserted in a 23 inches screen (1080p).
On the backside, there is one DP output.
So far, I tried :
- Acer G245H : correctly detected, displaying 1080p ;
- LG 4K HDR : detected as well, displaying 2560x1440 ;
- BENQ GW2270 ...
Hi there !
After several hours of Internet digging, I finally ended up to understand the main difference between Monterey & Big Sur !
Apple removed everything needed to know what an Ivy Bridge is, to Monterey.
This is why Hackintool kept saying "unknown Intel generation", but Big Sur was not...
Yeah, but how do you gain access to these files if the system doesn't give you access ?
As I said, I found a solution : boot a Puppy Linux, mount the MacOS HDD, and delete the EFI folder.
After that, the system is able to boot from the USB key again.
I already tried to mess with OCLP : this thingy always says "there are some patches available, wanna install them ?".
I tried 2 times : each attempt led to a system crash...Recoveries were killed too, so I ended up with 2 more full installations. Heh !
Since yesterday, I'm in framebuffer...
I have a question !
Let's say the OpenCore EFI is successfully copied/moved to the HDD/SSD.
MacOS will launch from the HDD/SSD : ok.
After that, let's do some changes on config.plist, then after the reboot, the system crashes before the desktop.
Now, trying to boot with the recovery : it...
Aaaaaaaaaaand..........we have a winner !!
I kept my USB key, removed the Monterey HDD, and put the Big Sur one in.
The AIO display stays black as usual, but the Acer G245H came to life. 1920x1080 as expected.
In Monterey, with same boot USB key as said, the 2 screens work...but both with...
I made more digging...
Using EDIDviewer Win10, I extracted the AIO EDID. Then, I did the same with my external monitor Acer G245H.
Now, I have 2 EDIDs.
Following https://elitemacx86.com/threads/how-to-inject-edid-clover-opencore.576/ I tried both.
Failure.
Each time I run Hackintool (or...
I made a screen recording, but its size does not fit here. I put it there : https://workupload.com/file/QZKTmFjeR9k
If you watch it, you'll notice 1024x768 => it's because I need to connect the capture device to the DP connector of the AIO. In this case, the system lowers the resolution by...
I have two HDD, one with Monterey, another one with Big Sur.
And both goes to the Mac desktop.
With the screen stuck at 1280x1024, and no sound at all with "alcid=33" (as in my previous attempt with Monterey, which is deleted right now).
EFI given last thursday : as I said, I'd change nothing without further notice.
About BIOS, there are so many pages, what part do you need specifically ?
