Every time my battery dies, the capacity changes. Yesterday I had 948mah as the capacity. Today I have 1248mah simply because the battery died and i charging it again from its dead state and that's how it behaves. What confuses me the most is that it behaves like this regardless of the OS I'm...
In windows it can last up to one and half an hour or less but in macOS it struggles to last an hour... Because i undervolted (with voltageshift and I'm using cpufriend yo get the cpu below 0.8mhz at idle) if not it doesn't last up to 50mins of use
The battery's behavior is still the same even when i turn it off. Once it gets to a certain percentage, it stops charging and shows the white light instead of the charging light. The only thing i haven't tried is removing the battery as it's built in 🙂 bit what do you mean by battery backup time 🤥
Let me explain the behaviour properly. When using mac os, my battery last a little bit longer than it used to before i added cpufriend and cpufriendataprovider but the issues are as follows for a very long time now, my battery haven't charged beyond 60% and my battery full capacity is 3640mah...
Yep ☺ it worked... but i still have battery problem 😑 I'm considering a battery replacement and aftet which i do my patches again! Did you check if it's necessary to uncomment the code i pasted earlier in my dsdt 🤓
Ok thanks for this explanation... I switched from ubuntu to pop os, pop os and mac os has no time issues, it only happens when i boot windows thank you once again for clearing things up... I did a little research and I found a guide here 👉...
Speaking of conflicting, i think mine does as i get errors constantly if i use the -da.. i also think my laptop has hardware issue too. If i boot into windows, no matter the timezone i use or if/not i disable automatic time update, my clock is always an hour late
Still trying to fix things... I succeeded in extracting with refs.txt by removing the "-da" entry but i get one error which i attached a screenshot. i'm using the latest iasl aand maciasl from rehabman's bucket
I've changed my mind , I will buy new battery since i still have a problem with the current battery regardless of the OS i boot and an SSD perhaps next month! :)
I saw this 👇 here 👉 https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-hp-pavilion-15-ab216tx-catalina-using-clover-uefi-hotpatch.285539/...
Okay Thanks. I will backup my files in the macOS partition, install and use mojave and do all my patches and fix everything, then upgrade to catalina... instead of reinstalling when i switch to SSD, i will just clone the partition instead! and one thing i have been wondering if its right is if...
i used---> iasl -da -dl DSDT.aml SSDT*.aml <---- as iasl -da -dl -fe refs.txt DSDT.aml SSDT*.aml shows some output in terminal but provides no disassembled files
It created a dumplog and the refs.txt file is present but it didn't disassemble it.
using "iasl -da -dl DSDT.aml SSDT*.aml" instead of 'iasl -da -dl -fe refs.txt DSDT.aml SSDT*.aml" , i get one error.
Well i don't know what that means  but maybe that might explain why the time is never correct in my windows 10... it's always an hour behind no matter the settings i do, i even disabled automatic time zone , daylight savings and auto time update set it to a time zone that's one hour ahead...
