It's an external SSD connected with a USB-C cable. Nothing fancy. I'll test some more tomorrow! Thanks mate

Oh ok got it! Understand it now! It now shows up in the PCI tab in System Report, but when I plug in a USB-C device, nothing shows up. Anything else to do or to know? Thanks a lot again mate! Really helping an SSDT noob a lot!

I did read it, but I don't understand how to insert my 5 part path in a 3 part path in the SSDT. How do I split it to do the replacement when doing the find+replace thing..?

Thanks for the info! I'm a bit lost on where to put what in the SSDT though aha first time for me going that deep in this stuff. Don't want to ask too much, but is there a way you could send me a corrected file I could compare with my old one and learn from it?

OK good! But right now, when I plug a USB-C device in it, I can't see it show up. I tried with multiple USB-C devices. My external SSD has the light flashing, but not connecting.

No, I don't have the tools required right now and I'm moving halfway across the globe this weekend (and by halfway, I truly mean it, not on the literal sense of the term lol) so I can't really do it right now. Is it something needed for this chip to work?

Ok great! Just deleted the file, snapshot the OC folder on ProperTree and I still don't see it in the System Report in PCI nor in Thunderbolt (even though I know it's not supposed to show in TB tab). Anything idea why?

Just saw the config.plist file isn't the one causing the problem, here's the one! I reused the one without the TB stuff in it in order to boot the computer. Also attached screenshots from the driver and kext folder. The others folder contain the TbtForcePower.efi file.
