The system works better now, the glitches are almost gone, perhaps partially due to the SSDT-CPU-PM.aml created with ssdtPRGen. Some are still there, mostly when watching a video. There are suggestions to upgrade RAM which might help, but would not make sense on an old laptop. Sleep does not...
After logging out and logging in as another user the flickering was almost completely gone, and it was still after logging back in to my user. But soon the GUI froze. Closing the lid caused a very short sleep. When I opened it again the desktop was back, looking very disturbing. Changing the...
After installing the security update 2020-006 the screen keeps flickering all the time, rendering the laptop almost useless. Before that it worked quite well when it did'nt hang. What was changed by this update?
There is no need to patch the DSDT, it worked fine since Lion. Meanwhile I installed Clover on the SSD, or rather just copied the EFI from the boot stick. Now I can also boot the systems on the other drive. Sound works with a patch described in a Tonymac discussion, using Hackintool. I am still...

I risked installing High Sierra to the internal drive, of course after creating a new backup. But I could not boot into it because of the same error, should have deleted EvOreboot first. After many attempts I was able to boot into the external system again, in save mode, and deleted EvOreboot...
Following this guide I finally managed to reach the High Sierra installer and installed a test system on an external SSD. It was possible to boot into it despite of a lot of error messages. WiFi, Sound and brightness didn't work, so I put these kexts into the EFI:
AppleALC
BrightnessKeys...
I'm back and tried it again with an old version of Unibeast that was still saved somewhere. It failed to install the bootloader, so I installed Clover later. When I try to boot it the result is always the same. Here are pictures of the options and the kernel panic of my latest attempt. The same...
It's just funny that I can boot Mavericks from the flash drive that fails to boot the Sierra installer without kernel panic.
But now I am preparing for a journey and have no more time for this, at least for several weeks.
